A Humanist Vision in Harmony with the Earth

A Philosophy of Interconnectedness

“When we care for and live in harmony with nature, we make a profound contribution to peace.” – Daisaku Ikeda

SGI’s environmental commitment is anchored in the principle – the oneness of life and its environment. It teaches that every individual and every action is inseparably linked to the planet’s well-being.

Under the leadership of Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, SGI became a global voice for ecological ethics, human-centered sustainability, and climate action – calling for a shift from ego to eco, from exploitation to dialogue.
